Gastritis

Chronic gastritis refers to chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa or atrophic lesions due to a variety of causes, and its essence is the gastric epithelial suffered repeated damage, due to specific mucosal regeneration capacity, resulting in mucosal alterations, and eventually lead to irreversible intrinsic gastric glands atrophy or even disappear. This is a very common disease, accounting for 80% -90% of patients with gastroscopy, more men than women, the age incidence gradually increased.

Etiology and Pathology:
The occurrence of chronic gastritis is generally related with the surrounding environment harmful factors and predisposition. Physical, chemical, biological harmful factors in long-term repeated the role in susceptibility to the human body can cause the disease. The cause of the persistence or recurrent can be formed to chronic degenerative conditions.
(1) Physical factors: long-term drinking tea, spirits, too coarse food, can cause gastric mucosal injury.
(2) Chemical factors: long-term large doses of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, indomethacin can inhibit gastric mucosal prostaglandin synthesis, destruction of the mucosal barrier.
(3) Biological factors: bacteria, especially Helicobacter pylori infection is closely related to chronic gastritis.
Soft tissue injury theory suggests that the fundamental cause of chronic gastritis is not the stomach itself, but the middle of the thoracic soft tissue injury as well as the corresponding thoracic segments to shift the dominant gastric sympathetic and fans nerve pressure by the stretch, and pinch, so that the function of the physiological activities of the stomach decline. It can also be caused by stomach strain due to the gastric microcirculation and tissue contracture.

Clinical Manifestations: Chronic gastritis is lack of specific symptoms. The severity of symptoms and the severity of the gastric mucosa are not consistent. Most patients are asymptomatic or have varying degrees of indigestion shaped like abdominal pain, loss of appetite, acid reflux. Patients with atrophic gastritis may have anemia, weight loss, pale tongue, diarrhea and etc. Individual patient with mucosal erosion is more obvious with abdominal pain and may have bleeding.

Acupuncture Treatment:
Traditional Acupuncture Treatment: According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the points selected according to the individual patient’s medical conditions. These points were located in the abdomen and lower extremities, are closely related with the stomach. It can be very effective to relieve stomach cramps, usually the symptoms can be brought under control immediately. However, the cure rate is not high, so the majority of cases need for long-term acupuncture treatment.

Dragon Acupuncture Techniques (DAT):

According to the newly discovery in the etiology and pathology of gastritis, it is believed that primary cause of chronic gastritis is due to the entrapment of the gastrointestinal visceral nerves on its pass way, resulting disfunction of the stomach. Based this discovery, we have developed a very unique Dragon Acupuncture Techniques (DAT to eliminate the adhesion and scar of the related soft tissue from chronic injury. Thereby free the sympathetic and vague nerves which dominating the stomach from traction and compression, and physiological activity of the stomach back to normal, so that stomach pain and other symptoms can be completely eliminated. Since the pathogenic factor causing the chronic gastritis is eliminated, the majority of patients we treated were cured. In addition, it works very fast. Patients usually respond very well even at the first visit, and it takes several more treatments to cure the problem.
